David has been in retail and sales for over 20 years. As a sales manager for the Stanley Works, David learned how to cultivate customer relationships and focus on what is most important: keeping the needs of the customer first. Today, David wears many hats: buyer, IT-man, event planner, deliveryman & salesperson are just a few of the roles he is tasked with performing. His retail business philosophy revolves around customer service and relationships. This includes hiring intelligent, kind and thoughtful people to help on the sales floor. To cultivate a relationship with a customer should come naturally; it is a gift of self more than a learned response.
“…A good retail employee is a Psychologist & Psychiatrist all in one.Finding unique, high-quality product gets the customer into the shop, but it is the salesperson that make the experience memorable…” – David Schreiner
